Question sur l'article

Road-legal TRW steel handlebar for Honda CBF 600 (600 CBF) – flat black bar with ABE and 765 mm width

Anyone replacing the series handlebar of the Honda CBF 600 keeps the papers in order with this bar: the ABE belongs to the delivery, so no individual entry becomes due. The black flat handlebar consists of steel tube with a clamping diameter of 22 mm and therefore slots into the standard clamps of the CBF 600. A triple special coating forms the corrosion protection, manufacture takes place in Germany, and a TÜV report covers models that the approval list does not name.

Type-approval data of the steel bar

Outer diameter: 22 mm (7/8 inch)
Inner diameter: 18 mm
Wall thickness: 2 mm
Bar width: 765 mm
Height: 44 mm
For bar-end mirrors with 15 mm expansion bolts

Bar dimensions in millimetres

e (depth)	170 mm

Approval, surface and workmanship

ABE for road use – conversion without an entry in the vehicle documents
Triple special coating – protects the steel against salt, rain and moisture
Series clamping dimension – takes the place of the original handlebar
Made in Germany – consistent quality from German production

Fitment, cable routing and riding position

During fitment the mounting order stays simple: release the clamps, transfer the controls, align the bar and tighten to the specified torque. Because the flat bar sits lower than many series handlebars, the existing lengths of cables, brake lines and wiring should be checked over the full steering lock before the first ride. In everyday use on the CBF 600 the result is a calmer, slightly forward posture that keeps the load on the front wheel controllable on longer stages.

Does the ABE cover the Honda CBF 600?

Yes – the CBF 600 is named in the ABE list enclosed with the handlebar, so the conversion stays road legal without an individual entry. Models that are not named there are registered by means of the additional TÜV report, which is included in paper form. Storing both documents together with the vehicle papers keeps the conversion verifiable at any roadside check.
