Replacement handlebar TRW for Honda CB 500 (500 CB) – black steel, 7/8 inch, road legal

A stock handlebar that is bent, corroded or simply too high is replaced here by a TRW flat bar in black steel. The tube measures 22 mm across the clamping area, so original clamps, switch housings and grips can be reused in most cases. Manufacture takes place in Germany, and the triple special coating protects the steel where salt and moisture attack it. With the enclosed ABE the swap on the Honda CB 500 stays free of registration.

What does the conversion change on the bike?

The flat profile lowers the hands compared with a raised touring bar and moves weight to the front wheel; steering becomes more direct and the machine turns in earlier. At the same time a width of 765 mm leaves enough leverage for slow manoeuvres and full lock. Since the grip position remains close to standard, cables and brake lines normally reach without extension, which keeps the work to a single afternoon in the garage.

Model compatibility and paperwork

The handlebar is released for the listed models with ABE / road approval, so an entry in the vehicle documents is not necessary. The enclosed ABE list names all approved types; if a model does not appear there, an additional TÜV report for registration is part of the delivery.
