What is the function of the voltage regulator / rectifier / regulator?
This rectifier has the task of converting the alternating voltage (AC) generated by the alternator into the DC voltage (DC) 12V used in the vehicle electrical system and battery.The regulator / rectifier must also maintain the charge voltage for the battery and the voltage for the electrical system and in a certain range of approximately around 12 till 14 volts.
