Note on §12 of the German Battery Ordinance:

Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. Consumers are legally obliged to return used batteries.
They can be returned to us (HAHN66.de GmbH, Robert-Bosch-Straße 12 D-72411 Bodelshausen)
or at the municipality's public collection points.

Pursuant to § 10 of the German Battery Act, the seller must charge a deposit of 7.50 Euro including VAT,
if the end consumer does not present a used starter battery at the time of purchase.

Our battery prices are therefore exclusive of proof of disposal plus deposit.
If no deposit is charged by the seller because the old battery has been properly disposed of
or an old-for-new exchange has taken place, this amount is also not deductible from the purchase price.

Near the waste bin symbol you will find the chemical name of the pollutant.
Cd stands for cadmium, Pb for lead and Hg for mercury
