Heavy-Duty Drag Harrow / Meadow Harrow for ATV, UTV and Tractor
This heavy-duty drag harrow / meadow harrow is designed for more demanding work on meadows, pastures, forest tracks, farm tracks and uneven property surfaces. The harrow has an overall length of approx. 227 cm. The actual working section measures approx. 127 cm in length and 122 cm in width. The front tube measures approx. 5 cm. The drag harrow is suitable for use behind compatible ATVs, UTVs and tractors equipped with an appropriate towing connection.
The robust chain construction works more intensively on the ground surface than a fine mesh or net harrow. This makes the meadow harrow particularly suitable for areas where the surface is not only to be smoothed, but also mechanically loosened, broken up or reworked.
Heavy-Duty Surface Cultivation for Demanding Ground Conditions
When pulled across the ground, the drag harrow works directly on the upper soil surface and can mechanically treat compacted, matted or uneven areas. After longer periods of moisture, frost or regular vehicle traffic, the surface can become firm and may need loosening before further maintenance work.
Thanks to its robust construction, this harrow is intended for more intensive surface treatment than a flexible mesh harrow. It can be used on meadows, pastures, property areas and unpaved tracks, provided that the ground is suitable for mechanical treatment.

Working Area of Approx. 127 x 122 cm
The actual working section measures approx. 127 x 122 cm. This compact design makes the drag harrow particularly suitable for small to medium-sized areas, narrower tracks and locations where very wide implements would be less practical.
The approx. 122 cm width allows controlled surface treatment, while the approx. 127 cm working length provides sufficient ground contact to pull loose soil and workable material across the surface.
Front Tube with Approx. 5 cm Size
A tube measuring approx. 5 cm is located at the front of the drag harrow. It supports stable guidance of the harrow and helps keep the working section moving evenly across the ground while being pulled.
The overall length of approx. 227 cm includes both the actual working section and the towing area. This provides sufficient distance between the towing vehicle and the working surface.
For Mossy and Matted Ground Surfaces
Over time, meadows and pastures can develop moss, dead plant material and matted grass layers. These areas can make maintenance more difficult and create an uneven surface. The heavy-duty meadow harrow can be used to mechanically break up such areas and prepare them for further maintenance work.
Unlike a fine mesh harrow, this version is designed for more intensive surface cultivation. It is therefore particularly suitable where the ground surface needs to be loosened rather than simply smoothed.
Rework Ground After Winter and Heavy Use
After frost, moisture or regular vehicle traffic, meadows, pastures and working areas can become compacted. The drag harrow can be used to mechanically rework and loosen the upper soil layer.
Depending on the ground conditions, several passes from different directions may be useful. This can intensify the working effect on uneven or more heavily used areas.
Suitable for Forest Tracks and Unpaved Roads
In addition to meadow maintenance, the drag harrow can also be used on forest tracks, farm tracks and unpaved access roads. Vehicle traffic often creates wheel marks, compacted sections and unevenly distributed ground material in these areas.
The robust construction can be used to rework the upper surface layer and redistribute loose material across the track. Soil and suitable loose stone material can therefore be spread more evenly depending on the condition of the ground.
Rework Light Wheel Tracks and Uneven Areas
ATVs, UTVs, tractors and other vehicles can create wheel tracks on unpaved surfaces. Once the ground has dried sufficiently, the drag harrow can be used to loosen the surface and pull loose material across shallow depressions.
Depending on the condition of the area, several passes may be required. Deeply worn, extremely hard or heavily damaged tracks may require more intensive preparation before using the harrow.
Distribute Loose Soil and Suitable Stone Material
On forest and farm tracks, vehicle tyres often push loose material towards the sides. The drag harrow can be used to redistribute workable soil and suitable loose material more evenly across the surface.
Large fixed stones or solid rock are not intended as working material. The harrow is designed for workable loose or compacted surfaces.
Typical Applications for ATV, UTV and Tractor
-
Meadows: for more intensive reworking of matted and uneven surfaces.
-
Pastures: for soil loosening and ground maintenance after winter and regular use.
-
Forest tracks: for reworking compacted sections and redistributing loose material.
-
Unpaved roads: for reworking light wheel tracks and uneven areas.
-
Farm tracks: for distributing soil and suitable loose stone material.
-
Property areas: for more intensive surface-level soil cultivation.
-
Preparation before seeding: for loosening and reworking the upper soil layer.
Compact Working Width for Different Areas
With an approx. 122 cm working width, the drag harrow can also be used on narrower areas and tracks. At the same time, the approx. 127 cm working length provides a sufficiently large contact area for mechanical ground treatment.
The actual working effect depends on the soil type, moisture level, driving speed and number of passes. Very wet or extremely hard ground may require an adjusted working method or additional preparation.

Adjust Working Intensity to the Ground
This meadow harrow is designed for more intensive treatment than a flexible mesh harrow. Driving speed and the number of passes should therefore be adjusted to the respective ground conditions. Controlled treatment is recommended on grass areas, while robust forest and farm tracks can generally be worked more intensively.
Several passes from different directions can help achieve a more even result on heavily matted or irregular surfaces.
