Technical construction and function

The battery consists of several galvanic cells, each made of grids alternately coated with positive (lead oxide) and negative (porous lead) materials. These are separated by microporous separators to prevent short circuits. The chemical reaction for power generation begins only after filling with diluted sulfuric acid. Each cell produces approx. 2 volts, resulting in a total voltage of 12 volts with 6 cells in series. This construction ensures reliable energy supply and stable performance.

Important information about commissioning

The battery is delivered dry pre-charged. To activate it, specially suitable battery acid (not included) must be filled in. After completely filling, let the battery rest for about 30 minutes. Once no more bubbles are visible, charge the battery fully with an appropriate charger. After that, the battery is ready for use and must not be reopened. For long battery life, regular recharging – especially during periods of non-use – is essential.

Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.
End users are legally obliged to return used batteries.
As a seller of vehicle batteries, we are legally required under §10 BattG to charge a deposit for private customers when purchasing this type of vehicle battery.
Therefore, when purchasing a battery like this one, the deposit item with article number: B-Pfand must be added to your order in our online shop.
This serves as a digital deposit item (Note: not a physical product).
To receive a refund of the battery deposit, the following steps must be taken:
1) Purchase of article no: B-Pfand
2) Proper disposal of the old battery – at the disposal site you will receive either a receipt/proof of disposal
or you may have our invoice signed and stamped to confirm disposal.
Please send the signed and stamped disposal receipt to us by email or post.
3) After we receive your proof, the purchased deposit item will be refunded using the same payment method
that was used for the purchase.
If you paid by bank transfer, please include your bank details for the refund.
