The 2-2 Black Edition exhaust system for the Honda NX 650 Dominator RD02 combines a model-specific design with two matt black aluminium silencers and road approval in its designated configuration. Developed specifically for the Honda NX650 Dominator, the complete twin-silencer system has been tested on a dynamometer with a particular focus on improving the torque curve and achieving additional performance.
A key development objective was an improved torque delivery while retaining compact dimensions and low weight. Depending on the motorcycle’s mechanical condition and other fitted components, a performance increase of approximately 3–10% is possible. The exhaust can be combined with the original header or a compatible performance header.
Road-legal sports exhaust with ABE and E approval
As supplied, the system is equipped with 80 dB killers and comes with EC ABE / E approval. This is the designated road-approved configuration and can be used in accordance with the supplied approval documentation and applicable regulations.

Heavy-duty aluminium construction for a vibrating single-cylinder engine
The large-capacity single-cylinder engine of the Honda Dominator can produce substantial vibrations. For this reason, the Black Edition silencers use a particularly robust aluminium construction. Instead of relying on a conventional thin welded aluminium outer skin, the system incorporates a heavy-duty aluminium body with CNC-machined aluminium components.
Compact dimensions with reduced weight
Both silencers have been designed around compact external dimensions, resulting in a slim 2-2 system that follows the sporting character of the NX650. The matt black Black Edition finish creates a distinctive appearance while avoiding unnecessarily bulky silencers.
Three available exhaust configurations
The silencer system supports three configurations. For road use under the supplied approval, the installed 80 dB killers are used. An optional 93 dB killer is available separately for a stronger exhaust note, but this configuration does not have road approval. Running the exhaust without DB killers is also not approved for public-road use.

The DB killers are retained by securing rings, allowing the inserts to be removed or changed for the intended application. When riding on public roads, the exhaust must be operated in the configuration specified by the approval documentation and applicable local regulations.
