End users are legally obliged to return used batteries.
In connection with the sale of vehicle batteries to end users, we are obliged in accordance with Section 10 BattG to collect a deposit of 7.50 euros per vehicle battery including sales tax if the end user does not return an old vehicle battery at the time of purchasing a new vehicle battery.
When selling to end users, the battery deposit is included in the purchase price; a token is not issued.
If the end user returns an old vehicle battery to us that we carry or have carried as a new battery in our range, we are obliged within the framework of the statutory provisions to take it back free of charge and to reimburse the deposit amount.
