The Aprilia RS / AF1 / SX 125 only has an abrupt performance boost in the unthrottled state at around 8000 rpm when accelerating.

These performance characteristics can lead to a drop in performance when shifting up and a drop in speed when accelerating quickly, on the mountain or with pillion rides.
The pneumatic exhaust system works via the exhaust gas pressure and thus changes the stroke of the valve spool.

This significantly improves the performance of the engine, especially in the speed range between 5000-6000 rpm.
